Happy Labor Day weekend and welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year!

We are so excited to welcome students back on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.  Our school start time is 8:20am. The first bell rings at 8:10am.  Students are expected to gather in the back lobby/cafeteria
until that time.  The building will be open and the cafeteria will begin serving breakfast at 7:50am.
All students go to homeroom on the first day of school to receive new copies of their schedules.  Homeroom lists are posted in the halls. Students can also access their schedules on iStudent but should check on Tuesday morning for study hall locations and any last minute changes.

Students who take the bus are dropped at the front of the school and are expected to proceed to the cafeteria area until the first bell rings.  We'll be there to greet them and show them the way! Students who drive should obtain a parking pass from the front office no later than September 20, 2019.  Students are able to get a pass after the year starts as they get their license or a car and the cost is prorated each term.

We will hold class meetings for all classes on Friday, September 6.  The purpose of these meetings is to welcome back students and review expectations for the year. This is also a special day at AHS as we celebrate the All-school PBIS activity and Convocation.  The All-school activity allows students to learn and/or review the culture, core values, and expectations  Convocation is a fun, school-spirit event where the seniors receive the key to the school and reflect on their roles as leaders.

Students have the first 10 days of school to make changes to their schedule. Any student wishing to make a schedule change should email or make an appointment with their counselor.  Students who are looking to add a class can only do so if there is space in the course.

9/16       College Knowledge Night (for seniors & parents)                7:00 – 8:00 pm

9/20       Senior Portraits – Grynn & Barrett (for seniors needing a yearbook picture)

9/23       Picture Day for all students 

9/26       AHS Back to School Parents Night       (time corrected 9/6/19) 6:00-8:00 pm
