January 18, 2019

Good afternoon-
I hope the impending storm is not impacting anyone's Family Reconnect Weekend plans.  I am looking forward to hunkering in with board games, puzzles, and of course, the Patriots!

Does your student ride the bus and plan to stay at AHS for the afternoon after exams next week? Encourage them to check out the Model UN mid-term movie marathon!  Movies will be played in the AHS auditorium each afternoon and snacks will be available for sale.  All proceeds go to the Model UN club.

Grades for Term 2 will close on Friday, January 25, 2019.

Report cards will be available after 2:00pm on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Smart Money – Parent Survey
Parents of High School Sophomores and Juniors –
We are writing to get your feedback on a program that we have offered in limited capacity over the past three years.  The program is called “Smart Money” and focuses on educating students on the basics of finances, including credit cards, compounding interest, student loans, budgeting, leasing and buying cars, and other related topics.  Beginning in 2016, high school students with availability in their schedules were offered the opportunity to attend a series of three one-hour sessions and an expense-paid field trip to the federal bankruptcy court in Worcester, MA to participate in a mock personal bankruptcy session.  The program is offered at no cost to students and is run by local parents in the community who have careers in finance and accounting.
As we plan for the upcoming sessions of the program, we wanted to reach out with a few questions about your child’s interest and scheduling. Please complete the attached survey.
Thank you for your time –
